Workshop about ‘Digital mapping of Landscapes of Urban revolt’ is one of the events of the seminar of ‘Revolt in the 'Square': Spatial Modelling of Urban Stability to Mapping Urban Unrest in Beirut Public Squares’ at Beirut Arab University in cooperation with Queens University Belfast and University of Leeds in UK.

Introduction: Understanding general principles of pedestrian movements and crowding
9:30 to 10:10
Technical lecture (GPS in GIS): Use the GPS data from the site visit to monitor various movements of the participants (location/ time) + discuss their movement and gathering experience, individual and group data
10:10 to 10:30 Break
10:30 to 12:00
- Discussion and applications (working groups): Each group of participants select one of the events related to the workshop interest and start digitally document the events (location/s, main entry points/ main streets used/ holding a flag or not/ path of movements in the square/ direction of standing/ other related issues)

- Predicting movements: evacuation scenarios; Potential to-movements scenarios

Discussion and Application (working groups)
- Mapping all the participants’ information on one map.
