2020 Project International Partner, the project title is ‘(Re)Contextualising Contested Heritage: Building Capacity & Designing Participatory Approaches to Preserve Cultural Heritage By the Youth. Other partners are in Kosovo, Iraq and, Lebanon. Funded by Research England and GCRF in a cooperation between University of Leeds (UK) and Beirut Arab University. Main Principal investigator: Dr Gehan Selim, Associate Professor in Architecture & Urbanism and Project, University of Leeds, UK
2017 Main Consultant for a multidisciplinary research grant project (Total Budget 74811 Euro and grant awarded 45000 Euro) funded by the ‘SouthMed CV’ and co-funded by the European Union under the Med Culture regional programme. The project team is the Faculty of Architecture- Design & Built Environment branch in Tripoli in cooperation with Safadi Cultural Centre and the Municipality of El Mina in Tripoli, Lebanon. (The project starts in January 2017).
2017 Main coordinator from BAU side of the academic partnership between the “Revolt in the Square (RIS)” research project based at Queens University Belfast, University of Leeds and the Faculty of Architecture at Beirut Arab University. RIS is a multidisciplinary collaborative project funded by the GCRF / PaCCS Conflict Theme and Interdisciplinary Research Innovation Award in UK.
